About the project
Inspired by a walk through ideas
In 1990, the film Mind Walk brought together a physicist, a poet, and a politician for a long conversation about science, systems thinking, and the nature of reality. The film showed that big ideas don't belong to any single discipline — they grow richer when explored across boundaries.
What is Quantum Walk?
Quantum Walk is a library of quantum research papers made accessible to anyone — students, artists, social scientists, philosophers, engineers — who is curious but not necessarily trained in physics.
Every paper comes with a plain-language summary written with the help of AI: a friendly introduction to what the research is about and why it matters. Think of it as a door. You don't have to walk all the way through — but now you can at least open it.
About the AI summaries
The plain-language summaries were generated using artificial intelligence to make quantum research accessible to non-specialists. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated summaries may occasionally contain errors or oversimplifications. You can always double-check the original abstract clicking the DOI link. If you notice an incorrect summary, please use the 🚩 flag button on each article.
Data transparency
We are committed to transparency. All articles in this database include verified metadata — year of publication and DOI. Articles with incomplete metadata have been excluded to ensure reliability and validity.

FAQ & Contact
Frequently asked questions
Quantum Walk is a free, searchable database of quantum research papers with AI-generated plain-language summaries. Our goal is to make quantum science accessible to curious people from any background.
The summaries were generated using AI and are intended as accessible introductions, not scientific replacements. They may occasionally contain oversimplifications or errors. We always recommend reading the original abstract for research purposes. You can just click on the DOI link and check the original abstract there. If you spot an error, please flag it using the 🚩 button.
Currently over 193,000 quantum research articles, all with verified metadata including year and DOI. We are continuously working to expand the collection.
All articles in Quantum Walk were sourced from Q1-ranked journals in the SCImago Journal Rankings. This ensures that every paper in our database meets rigorous academic standards. Currently our database covers publications up to 2024. We are actively working to expand the collection across more disciplines, journals, and years, so that Quantum Walk can serve an ever wider community of curious minds.
Yes, completely free! If you find it valuable and would like to support its development, you can make a small donation on our donations page.
Each article has a 🚩 flag button on the card and in the article modal. Clicking it will open your email with a pre-filled message to our team. We review all reports and correct errors as quickly as possible.
Absolutely! Use the contact form below and include the DOI or title of the paper. We're always looking to expand the database.

Keep Quantum Walk free 💛
Quantum Walk is an independent project run on passion and a small monthly budget. Your support helps keep the lights on and knowledge accessible to everyone.
All donations go exclusively towards server and infrastructure costs to keep this free academic resource available. Quantum Walk is a non-profit initiative with no commercial intent. All academic content belongs to their respective publishers and journals.
Quantum Walk is a self-funded project built out of a genuine belief that scientific knowledge should be accessible to everyone. To grow — adding more articles, improving summaries, and keeping the platform running — we need your support. Every contribution, however small, goes directly towards expanding what Quantum Walk can offer to curious minds around the world.
Other ways to support
Not in a position to donate? You can still help by sharing Quantum Walk with colleagues, students, or anyone curious about quantum research. Word of mouth means the world to an independent project like this.
